Ventnor Rugby Football Club have asked if the IWFRS are interested in playing a friendly game of rugby against them on 27 December 2010.

To this end I am making my annual request for all players, old, new or potential, who would like to represent IWFRS at rugby to let me know so I can organise a team for this match and maybe organise a few away fixtures, like the one to Torquay a number of years ago.

We have a lot of new members to the service since the Rugby section was active so don’t be shy, lets get a sociable side re-established. There is a place for all shapes, sizes and abilities on the rugby pitch!

This is a very demanding 30 mile, (48k) ultra multi terrain challenge, including open moorland and exposed sections.  This is designed as a team event and for safety reasons to be organised into teams/syndicates of four or more.
